A serial entrepreneur, Bill started his first company at age 18, growing ProLaw Software into the largest law firm automation system for small and mid-size law firms. Joining the acquirer at Thomson Reuters, Bill became a member of the management team of the $2B West division, where he used the marketing sophistication of an industry leader to take a brand new offering to market, West km.
Rick Hellers

Rick Hellers

Co-Founder

For decades, Rick Hellers has been an early adopter, innovator and influencer in legal technology. Since getting his first job at a law firm in 1979, he has worked at several firms, as a consultant and since 2003 as the co-founder of nQ Zebraworks. Rick is a legal tech trailblazer who has pioneered embedded cost recovery and modernized document management. He is a founding member of ILTA and has spoken at its annual conference in five different decades.

Ken’s experience helping businesses grow started with joining ProLaw Software in 1998 as the National Sales Manager. During his tenure, he rolled out the B2B sales team that accelerated ProLaw’s expansion, leading to acquisition by Thomson Reuters. Ken joined the team at Thomson Reuters as Senior Director of Sales, overseeing the law firm segment.

Ben Morin

Ben is a full-stack technologist and entrepreneur with over twenty-five years’ experience and a focus on DevOps. As CTO, he directs technology strategy and oversees platform architecture. Ben was previously the Director of Software Development at ProLaw Software and a Senior Software Architect at Thomson Reuters. In 2005, he co-founded boomtime and served fifteen years as its CTO.
Greg Blatz

Greg Blatz

Director, Operations

Greg Blatz is directly responsible for managing the company operations, including implementations and support teams in all offices and management of both internal and client documentation and training ensuring that client requirements are met in a timely and consistent manner. He is also the senior management member overseeing the company’s office in Dayton, Ohio. Greg has more than 15 years of experience with the company in technical positions. His prior experience includes all facets of client management, including software support, project management and hardware implementations. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University.

VP, Operations

Stefani Odom-Wertz brings more than 20 years of operational leadership to nQ Zebraworks. As VP of Operations, she focuses on developing repeatable processes and putting together and supporting teams that deliver world-class delivery, implementations and customer service. Stef previously served in development and customer service leadership positions for 13 years at leading legal tech companies ProLaw Software and Thomson Reuters and was the VP of Operations for technology-enabled marketing firm boomtime.

Glen has more than 20 years of experience in financial and operational management. He brings strong experience working with venture capital firms within the M&A industry and remodeling early-stage technology ventures.
Mark McNeal

Mark McNeal

Director of Development

Mark orchestrates the efforts behind developing, releasing, certifying and maintaining the software products and services that have established nQ Zebraworks in the legal technology space. He brings with him over 10 years of implementation and project management experience within the information technology field, the balance spent managing an array of IT projects, specializing in community banks.

Patty is responsible for supporting, and growing the company’s partner and reseller relationships, ensuring client needs are met, and communicating about updated products that could be of value. With over 30 years’ experience with both software and hardware supporting law firms, she is well versed in law firm operations and understands the challenges law firms face relative to technology.

Phil leads our product design team which focuses on product specification, user experience, prototyping and solutions architecture. He joined nQ Zebraworks in 2006 as an implementation specialist and managed projects for our legal clients in the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He brings that same focus and dedication to ensuring our products meet the needs of our clients today and into the future.

Pam is a Customer Support Manager with strong leadership and relationship-building skills and over 30 years of experience in the legal software industry. She is constantly striving to bring complex and demanding support situations to the best conclusion for both the client and the business.
Dave Umlah

Dave Umlah

National Director of Channel Sales

Dave has worked in various leadership roles in sales and marketing positions within Marriott and Hilton. For the last couple of years, Dave has worked in business development for the Association of Legal Technologists (ALT) working with legal tech vendors, law firms, and association members.
