nQueue‘s Hellers, Powell Shortlisted for ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards
Tempe, Ariz., July 1 2014 – ILTA, the International Legal Technology Association, has announced its finalists for the 2014 Distinguished Peer Awards. For the second year in a row Rick Hellers, nQueue’s President and CEO, is one of three finalists for Vendor Thought Leader of the Year. In addition, nQueue’s Senior Consultant Tanya Powell is one of three finalists for ILTA’s Innovative Consultant of the Year award.
ILTA’s Distinguished Peer Awards Program recognizes ILTA peers who have delivered “great business value and transformational impact through their innovations and implementations or have been champions in specific areas of focus for their organizations.” This year’s awards presentation will take place at ILTA’s Annual Conference at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville on August 19, 2014.
The Vendor Thought Leader of the Year is awarded based on thought leadership, maximizing the value of technology to the community and demonstration of ILTA’s core values. Hellers has more than 33 years experience in legal technology and consistently shares his knowledge and experience through his active participation at ILTA and ALA events. He is a former member of the Association of Legal Administrators and was a founding member of ILTA (then known as VSLUG). Most recently, Hellers drove the largest-ever installment of an embedded cost-recovery solution, for a Magic Circle law firm with more than 4,000 employees.
Tanya Powell has been at nQueue since 2005, and was named Senior Consultant in June 2009. She handles technology implementations for her own clients, as well as customizations and custom rules for all company implementations and support requirements. ILTA’s Innovative Consultant of the Year is awarded to a consultant or consulting company that has had outstanding achievements in the provision of technology services in the legal environment.
“The ILTA Distinguished Peer Awards focus on innovation, and that has been a big part of our mission at nQueue since we launched the first embedded cost recovery software applications in our earliest days,” said Hellers. “I am pleased to be a finalist and thrilled that Tanya, who is on our front lines finding solutions for our clients every day, has gained the recognition she richly deserves.”
